The Peruvian swimming team is preparing to face three international competitions in the months of August, September and November 2024, and will have the presence of 15 light blue athletes and the collaboration of our coach Orlando Moccagatta as part of the technical command.
The first event will be the Panam Aquatics Age Group Swimming Championships, which will be held from 22 to 25 August in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Then the sky-blue swimmers will participate in the South American Open Championship Consanat (South American Swimming Confederation) 2024, in the Colombian city of Cali, from 30 September to 3 October. And finally, from 7 to 10 November, in Santa Cruz, Bolivia, they will compete in the XLII Pacific Cup and the XVIII Maglione Cup.
"We are very proud of the number of 'Lima' Regatta swimmers who have been selected to represent Peru in these international championships. Our club contributes the majority of the national team's members," says 'Tato' Moccagatta, coach of our team. "It is the direct result of a joint effort involving the Swimming Commission, the technical team, the swimmers' parents and, of course, the athletes."
Tato will accompany the swimmers to Puerto Rico and Colombia, while Ronald García will be the Italian coach accompanying them to Bolivia. In addition, Tato will hold a long-term training clinic for the coaches attending the Puerto Rico tournament.
