Day 3
A few fights, long walks, visiting and swimming in the famous Kona Aquatic Centre.
At the end of the day we went to the Energy Lab to see the race course, how cool!
The island started to fill up with athletes and their companions and there was a crazy sports atmosphere. At one point today I said 'I've never seen so many people training in one place at the same time'. Today's super tip: if you go swimming there's a bag deposit and when you come back they give you a towel!
Race week has officially begun.
Day 4
Registration day! The name was there, so I had to go and get my number and everything.
After a little splash around I went to get my race pack.
And there it was, the excitement!
The volunteers applauded as each girl entered and I started to cry.
It was a beautiful moment that I will always remember.
Day 5
This morning I was told 'everything you had to prove you have more than proved, now enjoy it'.
So I did, I took a day of peace and quiet.
