Carlotta started collaborating with Toswim at the end of 2019, when the ToSwim project was taking shape. Carlotta's involvement has always been very proactive: 
- In the beginning, Carlotta was not only a thought leader who helped shape ToSwim's mission and actions, participating in the first focus groups and helping to create the essence of the project. But she also positively influenced ToSwim's inclusive vision and the creation of a community that was not only inclusive of people with disabilities similar to Carlotta's. 
- Carlotta went on to become a ToSwim ambassador and 'godmother' of the ToSwim Academy, helping to raise awareness and funds for the Academy's activities.

ToSwim is a 'benefit' organisation that aims to create a world of sport that encourages the development and growth of young people.

Through the Academy, ToSwim is dedicated to making swimming accessible to people with physical, cultural, social and economic difficulties by making courses, competitions and job opportunities in the world of swimming available to all.   
Part of the focus on accessibility is to include people with disabilities such as autism, Down's syndrome or motor impairments. Thanks to Carlotta's commitment, the Academy has developed a parallel project to include people with reduced or no vision.

To Swim è infatti un'organizzazione "Benefit "che ha l'obiettivo di creare un mondo di sport che possa favorire lo sviluppo e la crescita dei giovani.

Con la Academy, ToSwim si occupa di rendere il nuoto accessibile alle persone con difficoltà fisiche, culturali, sociali ed economiche, rendendo accessibili tutti i corsi, le competizioni e le opportunità di lavoro nel mondo del nuoto.   
Parte dell'attenzione all'accessibilità è volta ad includere persone con disabilità, come autismo, la sindrome di Down o la compromissione del movimento motorio. Grazie all'impegno di Carlotta, la Academy ha sviluppato parallelamente un progetto per  includere anche le persone con vista ridotta o nulla.
